The choice is yours. More often than not, we are influenced by group norms, but that may not result in the optimum decision that we should make. What most people around us do doesn’t mean that we should follow suit. We know ourselves best and should base our decisions upon our own situation and not on what most people would think, feel or do. Sometimes it’s just so easy for us to succumb to peer pressure unknowingly. Others’ opinions/advice are just guidance which we should take into account but not follow blindly. Sometimes I feel that despite how our decisions may differ from others, we shouldn’t doubt ourselves, neither should we regret our decisions as long as at that point of time you know perfectly well what you doing. Just some thoughts 2 Don’t be too nice, be just nice. Sometimes I wonder if being too nice pays, in the end I still feel that most probably one would be taken advantage of rather than being appreciated for the efforts. But of course being mean wouldn’t be the next best alternative as this would definitely turn a lot of people off. In the end I decided that being just nice, sitting on the fence would perhaps be good enough to avoid offending people and to avoiding making ownself feel unappreciated. This way nobody can fault you for anything you haven done… sounds logical??? Just some thoughts 3 Don’t expect anything… this way you will feel happier when you gain something. Sometimes it just hurts when some things don’t occur the way you hope it would be. Sometimes it hurts even more when what you thought totally differs from what it is.
