Had dinner with Level 5 and 6 pple. It’s was a delicious spread prepared mainly by YL, Chuan& Ru, Jiehua & Jiahui. There were chicken rice and even char siew etc. It tasted so good that I felt that these guys can open their own restaurant man. *grinzx* Thanzx to Christian & Simon for the tulip. It was so sweet of them to get every girl a tulip each from the tulip fields. The one they went were much nicer that the one me & others went on the FUITS trip. It was the type that I hoping for but in the end the one we went looked more like a tulip garden than anything else. How disappointing man… somemore we went to the Deception Pass for only a short while and it was raining… How bad can it get??? We got lost after tt on our way to the factory outlet… =_=!!! Seattle 25 April Happy Birthday to Raymond!!! Had dinner with him and Gab, Ankur and Yuliang at Thai Tom. Business was as good as usual but luckily they got seats on the way back from school so we din have to wait long for our seats. Tried the restaurant specialities and it tasted as good as ever. But poor Ankur got his throat burnt due to the spiciness of the food as his throat was tt well already. That night we had a mini celebration at Raymond’s room and it was quite surprising tt his room can squeeze 20 over pple. But of coz everyone were like packed sardines in his room. It was a long time since we had such a gathering and it was fun watching the video and laughing together. The mudpies melted by the time it was ready to serve yet everyone still ate it. ^.^ Studied thru the night for my exams… It was another horrible experience… As usual… Seattle 28 April Went to UW for the open house and din catch anything exciting that I was anticipating for. Found out that the open house was meant for college students, guess tt’s y it’s boring for us. In the end still got lost from the others as they weren’t at the area we supp to meet. So after waiting for sometime lazing around at the grass outside the Hub, Raymond & I went to the Henry’s Art Museum as he hasn’t been there before. This time they changed their exhibits so for me it’s still worth visiting again. After which, we went to Bellevue for window shopping and went home for dinner. Seattle 29 April Went to Mount Rainier with Raymond, Gabriel & Ankur. It was still as cold as ever. Ate lunch before we went to look at the exhibits. We also went up the snow slope for a while before we decided to leave as it was getting rather foggy and we cant hike to the surrounding areas also. We went down to some lodge area and sat down for a break. Got some really nice hot chocolate to keep us warm when it started to snow. It was pretty surprising as it was supposed to be spring/summer and yet it snowed so heavily. Nevertheless, I was still as happy as ever to get soak in the snowing as I dunno when would I ever be able to experience tt again. After that we went on our way back home. After dropping off our stuff, we went to Krispy Kreme to get doughnuts and went to Ben & Jerry’s for an ice-cream cone. Despite the not so good weather, these yummy treats helped to end the day well. Seattle 4 May Went to Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) with Raymond, Gabriel & Timothy as it was free admission for first thurdays. It happened that I was so bored on Sunday studying for my midterm so I ended up surfing on the net researching on the history of Seattle, coz I felt that I didn’t really know Seattle much although I had been here for so many mths, and because of that, I chanced upon the museum webby and noted the free admission. There were a showcase of exhibits which were pretty comprehensive, imparting us information on Seattle’s past. We spent quite some time in there looking around and snapping pics before gg back for dinner. I quite enjoyed the trip coz I felt that if we had been on a tour, we weren’t be able to have adequate time in museums. Seattle 5 May First attempt to canoe… and it was fantastic!!! Luckily I got bring some biscuits so we had picnic out in the lake. Last time I missed the chance to go canoeing during my secondary school days so luckily I’m able to make it up this time, and this was even better, coz it’s Lake Washington, not some Kalleng River or Sgp River. Cant wait to go canoeing again!!! Seattle 6 May Went on a geology field trip to Mt Olympic with Simon, Christian, Fanny, Mich, Hui Shan & Raymond. It was my first time experiencing Simon’s driving skills and it was way above my expectations, coz previously from what he told me, he had the tendency to speed (his reason: speeding keeps him awake =_=!!! I guess it would keep others awake in sweat too… haha!). Luckily he din “chu pattern” man… maybe he’s juz kidding me. Anyway, it was the first time I sat on the van and the van sat on the ferry, and guess what, it’s also the first time I saw a group of Harley Davidson “broom broom” which parked near our van on the ferry. Hui Shan went to approach one of them and the girls had a pic taken with the biker. Quite cool man! We went up to the ferry deck to walk around and it was so windy and cold!!! Before long we continued our journey to Mt Olympic and reached there in no time. However it was pretty hazy and drizzling so we didn’t manage to see what we were supposed to see, except the haze. It was only at the top of the mountain that the view became clear. It was like geography came to life for me as I used to take geog in secondary sch. Finally I am able to see for myself how things in words and pictures in textbooks looked like in real life. We walked on the snow for a while before hopping on the van back to UW. Back at UW, we all went to the carnival held by the Taiwanese Association in UW. There were food, games and performance. We bought food and shared amongst ourselves. But too bad we were too late for the Mango ice cream pudding and oyster pancake which sold out pretty fast. Seattle 7 May Went to church with Fanny & Simon. Almost couldn’t wake up, luckily Fanny came to knock on my door as requested… haha! Went to historic Issaquah with Raymond and Gabriel. The bus ride was so long that I slept till I almost don’t feel like getting off the bus. Gabriel took us to the train museum and we spent quite some time in there and in some of the actual train exhibits. After that we walked around taking pictures and taking in the surrounding scenery. We happened to see this Shell station which is not in activation anymore and as usual, we began posing and taking pictures, then this lady came over and helped us to take a group picture. She told us that they are renovating this Shell Station so that it can serve as an exhibit for the public. Before leaving, one of the guy asked Gabriel to send him our pics which got us really excited as we speculated that perhaps he wanted our pics to be in some brochure. BHB!!! *haha* Went to Cheesecake Factory at Bellevue for lunch. Although initially I was quite hungry, the food portions were so big that I could only managed one quarter of the pasta. Even Gabriel also couldn’t finish his share. Only Raymond could clear his plate… Rox man… The two guys even bought cheesecakes as takeaways whereas for me, I guess I would be able to take in much dinner anymore. After lunch, we walked around to scout for Ankur’s present and ended up getting a Holister giftcard for him. Seattle 9 May Happy Birthday to Ankur!!! Had dinner with him, Gab and Raymond at a Indian Restaurant near our house. It was the first time I had Indian Cuisine and it was really to my liking. Good recommendations by Ankur! Initially I still told myself to remember to take pic of the food but when the food was served, I simply forgot about it and just dig in. Gabriel said we all looked so hungry so he din bothered to stop us for a pic. But anyway it will definitely remain in my memory though… good company and good food… thumbs up!!! Seattle 11 May Watched “Pride & Prejudice” ytd and MI 3 today. In anticipation of the upcoming X-Men 3. Saw the trailers online and felt it looked really good.
