Seattle 3 Feb

This week had been a busy week, immediately after the CNY dinner, almost all of us had to start mugging for our midterms. I went down for a booze with some of my frens before "plunging" into my studies. Due to too much enjoyment all these while, my studies kind of piled up to an avalanche of work which needed my immediate attention in order to survive the midterms. I started to study too late, hence the rest of the week was liked how i studied for the end of semester final exams in NTU, of not worse, on average i had only 3 hrs of sleep each day and on wed, it's was the peak of my tolerance level which mounted to only one hour or so of sleep. I had been too last min and had to cramp a huge chuck of "y-do-all-seemed-so-new-to-me" information within half a day for the second test of the week, so in the end i din managed to finish studying oso. Sat for the test which drained most of my brain power and by the time i came out, i can be said to be in trance state... *juz kidding* coz i was in fact pretty relieved that everything was over and i could get to meet Mr Zhou (his christian name is Jay... HahahHAha!)
Friday was more eventful... I overslept till 1 plus (kinda expected, thou i wasnt supp to, guess that's the side-effects of lack of sleep) and thankfully i had lunch ready for me (thanzx to Ray gor gor and Qing, Sheila, Jiaxiang). Ate my lunch and joined Sheila, Ray and Jiaxiang to Henry's Art Museum. It's been ages since i last stepped into a museum... Visits to Sgp musuems were all on sch excusions (on other words, being forced to go... haha... but actually i din dread tt kind of visits, coz it's hardly possible for the whole class to be out together, so i kinda appreciated the time we had together, and in fact i had wished we could have more time in the museum, coz usually there's only enuff time to briefly browse thru all the works, but never deep appreciation for what's gg on). Although the museum is kinda small, but there are still the skyspace to look at, which is not found in sgp... it looked something like an oval shape, like an egg, but it's supp to change colors due to changes in weather outside and the time of the day. There were lots of artistic works which were very inspirational, i was very tempted into photography after the visit. Thought of Thomas and all the pics in his blogs when i saw all the works, he would be amazed if he were there... haha! Went to Burkes' Museum after tt, but it was pretty small and there wasnt much stuff there, fakes dino bones and stuff. Din take us long to get out of tt place coz we had to go for our meeting with Mr Billy Clinton also.

Seattle 5 Feb

It’s the superbowl day!!! Seahawks vs Pittsburgh Steelers . It’s the first time in 30 years??? That Seahawks got in??? (pai seh i dunno the details... haha) Of coz I am supporting Seahawks. I gotta admit I know nuts about football but nevertheless, I decided to go watch the game coz I tot it’s one of the way I could immerse into the American culture. Went to IMA to catch the game, although there were a big screen and nice couchs, there wasn’t that kind of ambience we were looking for, so Ankur, RayZ, Gab & I went to Haggart’s Hall to join some of our frens there. There were lots of ppl over there, free snacks, drinks and even lucky draw ( as usual, I went home empty-handed). Even though I was unfamiliar with the game rules, I still found it exciting and the commercials entertaining. Din stay till the game ended and went to Uni Way to walk ard. It was pretty deserted, and I wondered izzt normal on a Sunday evening. Just strolled around before gg into the supermkt QFC. Supermarketing is part of my leisure activites ever since I came to US. Last time I dun remember gg to NTUC as often as I do over here. But actually it’s quite an enjoyable thing to do, to shop for foodies. Wahaha! Bought lots of chocolates (which I regretted later, coz I tink I have to curb on consuming too much chocolaty stuff…) and some snacks before heading home for dinner.
Was online in the wee hours of morning when I was suddenly asked by Qing whether I wanted to eat… er, breakfast? Of coz my stomach would consent to it. Went down to join her and Yuan Feng and I was trying to fry my scramble egg when I was utterly appalled as to why it looks funny, in fact it was kinda disgusting. Qing was equally puzzled as well and Yuan Feng came to our rescue by enlightening us that I din switch on the power after I took the sausages out. Super malu-ed once again. Haiz…

Final score was Seattle Seahawks 10 - Pittsburgh Steelers 21

Seattle 8 Feb

(The weather was great for the day and the Sun was out.)
Had wed weekly lunch at Fiuts again… Was on the way to the Fuits lunch when I saw this guy with super shiny hair smelt with lots of hair gel. I noticed him not because I saw him from afar, it’s coz I could smell the hair gel I tink… unless I mistook some other smell for tt.. Suddenly tot of FY’s antenna, heard that she cut her hair and had it dyed red. Zai lar… no need buy Gatsby for her liao… Wahaha! Was on the way to my marketing lessons when me and Qing saw 2 guys playing Frisbee on the grass, den I was thinking wouldn’t they be fine playing on the grass… Hmm…
Marketing group discussion ended early today and I was invited to dinner with Raymond’s dining group. Really thankful to them for extending their kind invitation to me coz every wed is my dining group’s official off day, otherwise I would most probably survive on those frozen food or instant noodles. But felt kinda bad coz I went up to “bai chi”… haha! But I tink I ate a lot… of rice… Tink everyone has a misconception that I am a “fan tong” already. Sad case… haha!
Chat with my "nameless" fren over skype after dinner, den my mum… She finally back from her short trip to Malaysia. I was lucky to have caught her in time before she went out, and chatted over an hour with her I tink. It’s really been days since I last talked to her and I felt really happy to update her on what’s been gg on, or rather, to INFORM her about my short trip next weekend to Leavenworth. Wahaha! I was pretty surprised that she din object to me gg on trips despite me telling her how badly I have been faring in sch. Was glad to hear that she’s been enjoying life with my dad all these while but I really wished I had time to talk to my daddy too… was really angry and hurt to hear that he’s been smoking on the sly. Haiz, really dunno what to do with him man. =(

Seattle 9 Feb

(The weather was great too… The Sun was pretty glaring for the first time I had experienced in Seattle. During noon I thought I almost could sweat on my way back sch.)
Slept for 3 hrs and almost couldn’t wake up in time to go sch. Barely could keep myself awake throughout the whole lesson. Mind was in a daze though I was pretty much afraid that the tutor might juz call my name anytime, juz like a time bomb waiting to explode (in my head). Finally survived through and went back home for lunch with Qing. Had a pathetic lunch in my room, by myself, then I went to meet up with Qing to go back Balmer’s Commons to meet Kerry, our marketing research project mate to get ready to go to Expedia.com for an interview with the client. It was truly an enriching experience which I had not regretted making the efforts to go despite being so tired and sleepy. *haha* Although it wasn’ t the first time I had interview ppl from the corporate industry, it was a different kind of experience over here. The client was very approachable and very willing to assist us in our questions and most importantly she had shown great interest in our project which sort of motivates us greatly. Went off to Northgate after tt to shop ard… But there was only one level of shops, so basically nothing much to look also. Went to Target to get a pack of cereals (my third packet, too bad no KoKo Krunch over here…), stopped by Toys R Us before heading home. Reached home and went to look for my dining grp… They had kindly kept dinner for me, but it was a Tupperware full of food… It was my second dinner servings (after my 5pm meal at Taco’s)… and by the time I had my fill, I could feel like my formal wear was gg to burst thru man… TOTALLY OFF SHAPE!!! UNGLAM!!! Haha! But really grateful to Qing for sharing her “mei zhen xiang” bak gua which her frens had mailed her. Thumbs up to Qing for her generosity(and her frens for their thoughtfulness)!!!
