Vancouver trip

The morning when we were supp to set off, i almost din managed to wake up on time. *whew* Luckily i got up at 8.50 and managed to get myself out by 9.10am. Then i found out that still got pple later den me... haha... But i end up looking like a mess, coz din ve time to dress up and i tot i was gg to starve all the way to Vancouver. But thank goodness Ray had woke up early to make pancakes for us. I suddenly feel so glad that i apply to go on Instep for exchange. *Grinzx*

We went to our hotel to check in first before proceeding to get out lunch at Old Spag Factory. But we took a very long walk, passing by lots of interesting places whereby we keep slowing down and snapped pics. We passed by Waterfront area, Gas Town... etc.

By the time we reached our lunch destination, it was already dark, at ard 4pm. All of us ordered a set lunch each, which is inclusive of bread, coffee/tea, soup, main course and ice-cream. It was money well-spent and i really had to my fill, and was especially delightful at each take on the ice-cream (even though it's nothing special... Haha!).

After which we proceed on to chinatown but all the shops were closed so we went into a nearby shopping mall for a peek before heading to the beach to STAR GAZE!!! Weather was great for the whole day and we were able to star gaze at the beach because the sky was quite clear and it was all dark at the beach. I was quite overwhelmed with the kind of "xing fu" feelings coz i felt so lucky that i was able to enjoy myself so much, to be able to travel around with so many frens, feeling so relaxed and seemingly like having an extended holiday. The best of all was able to star gaze with them, coz usually the sky in sgp wasnt so dark that the stars can illuminate thru the night. Even though we din stay long, but i felt very satisfied that at least we did make the trip down the beach. Wouldnt have a chance to stay out so late if i were in sgp anyway. *lolx*

The second day...

Weather was great... We had some sunshine and it seems ages since we last exp sunshine coz it's been raining/ dark and gloomy over at Seattle. We woke up early and went to the coast area...

Then we proceeded to the observatory deck which overlooks the whole of vancouver.

We had lunch at Mac's... but we had something different, not found in sgp... It's the McGriddles. It's pancakes with sausage, egg and maple syrup. It's simply delicious. One bite and you just cant stop eating it. I was trying to save it till i reached the other shore, in case i sea sick and waste it. But after one bite and seeing that everyone else was munching non-stop, i decided that it's no pt trying to restrain myself, so i juz went on to finish it up. *Grinzx*

In the Sea Bus ( Friend of Air Bus ----> KiddIng lAr)...

Fortunately the ride on the ferry was very smooth, so smooth that it was a total contrary to what i had expected. Although i am used to experienced rough seas and bumpy rides, i was glad that it was a smooth ride so that i din ve to worry in case i get sea sick and throw up and made a mess out of myself.

At the Grouse Mountain... It's SNoWinG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the first time most of us experience snow... and we all were so happy!!! Oh man, i cant believe myself!!! How could i be here in the first place??? There's nothing better i could ask for...

Got smacked by the snow in my face... Ouch!!! Den got snow stuff behind my neck too!!! BrrHhh.... Thank goodness i was wearing the waterproof pants ( initially i was comtemplating on wearing jeans, but luckily on last tot, i decided to look "off" for once and i never regret this decision... Haha!!!) So i was pretty well-equiped as compared to the rest of my frens. I brought a heat pack and it was the first time i tried using it, and i tot tt was a total waste of money coz the heat pack dun seemed to elicit any heat to keep us warm. I tot i would get my feet wet as i was wearing my sport shoes instead of my boots, but it remained dry, so i had managed to enjoy myself much without much worries about soaking my feet.

Does it seems like a belated xmas celebration???

These snowman was created by yuan feng... quite a nice creation isnt it?

The white thingy which i am holding in my hands is a snow-tree created by Jia Hui ( the guy next to me).

UW!!!

Last stop for the day was at Capilano bridge, but it turned dark pretty fast, so we din venture deep into the forest. Dinner was at A&W, which was kinda disappointing. We took the sea bus back to downtown and went to pubbing.

The last day...

We went to Stanley Park in the morning but it was raining really heavily that kind of dampens our mood. Perhaps it's also kind of symbolic... *negative thoughts* haha! Lunch was at a chinese resturant. Food was like so heavenly as compared to those we had been having since we reached seattle. But it would be ranked as CMI if we were in HK or SGP. After lunch we went window-shopping at all the big brands... But the clothes were mostly so-so... tt's y i wasnt tempted to buy anything at all. My feet was soak in water all the way back to Seattle. How my shoes stink man!
