Seattle 8 Jan

It was a fine sunday morning, without rain!!! Fanny, simon and me went to church together. It was a truly different kind of experience. The church was like the olden days type and really give me the kind of fairytale feelings when i went in, like the type of church settings in those taiwanese idol drama shows. After the sunday mass, we met Yuan Feng on our way back who was on his way to buy take-aways for my dining grp ppl. All of us had teriyaki lunch together and i decided that it was time to start studying and to do my assignments but I ended up falling asleep on my bed. I seriously feel that the lighting in my room arent suitable for studying and it's the type that makes one wanna slp. I wake up on time for dinner and finally managed to force myself read some stuff.

Had lunch at the UW hub, which was a pretty big slice of pizza but that was only able to keep my stomach from growling only. The range of food served in the cafetarian (cfm not the NYJC type of cafetarian... haha) was not like as wide range as we had in sgp, I suddenly realised how spoilt for choice we had been when we were in sgp. Was feeling so cold( yar, it rained everyday, i know sgp is also experiencing the same, but you juz dun get cold dry wind blowing at you, and pose a big danger to your umbrella, my umbrella flipped upside down before, but luckily the damage was reversible *whew*) and hungry when I reached home, but thank goodness Tiran had prepared a sumptuous dinner for us all. I really had my fill for the night and was really feeling gd even though I had this big burden in front of me, to complete one assignment by wed, and one report by thurs and to study for one test (25%) that was on thurs. Of coz i wasnt too efficient... and din managed to do much and went to sleep with nothing done.

Rushed through the night with Rashidah to do our Derivatives assignment. I know a lot ppl may tink i am crazy to have taken up this subject after our experience last sem with the math for finance but.... i had no choice, there arent much PE subjects that i can take over here. Just have to push on... ... Perhaps have to go for consultation hours soon... Oh man...

Busy busy day... Was on the way to Balmers with Mook Yong when he suddenly turned left to walk over to a guy. Initially i was rather puzzled and thought perhaps that guy was his fren. Then i realised he wanted to help the guy to pick all his fallen books as his paper bag had been torned. I offered him my plastic bag and he was pretty grateful to us. Thumbs up to Mook Yong for being so friendly and helpful and it's really a nice feeling to help somebody in need, even though it was at the expense of wetting my sch bag with an wet umbrella without plastic bag ( as it is expected to rain everyday, anytime). Had lunch at Fiuts again.. Din really go ard to make frens coz had too much on my mind already. Hwee chuan and Raymond recommended me to make dino milo using the cocoa drink there ( Hwee chuan is losing his voice today... But he said the dino was drunk by Pei ru... Hmm...) But i tink it's too sweet already. Had sandwich again and back to lib to do my report. In the midst of doing my report, i overheard someone in front of me telling his fren about having test tmr and still got reprt to hand in... Den in my last resort i decided to approach him for help, i tink i was really kinda desperate already, coz i dunno how the report was supp to look like over here and thankfully he was very kind and patient to tell me what to do. He happened to have studied in sgp before and was able to recognise that i was from sgp from the way i speak ( did i speak singlish again??? i tot i had restrained much... haha)

After sch i was unable to go out for dinner with my dinner grp as i had too much things to accomplish by the night. But luckily yuan feng came along to sponsor some choco milk, so it wasnt tt bad after all. Sometimes i tink its juz kind of too lonely and cold to eat alone in my room, coz there's no TV to turn to, there's no one to disturb like i used to when i m bored at home, eg irritate my bro... haha. And i can guarantee that it's almost impossible for a person like me to study in my room, the lightings are juz too dim and orangy to conc, even the table lamp cant do much. The heater dun provide much warmth also, or am i too cold a person? Btw, i found it damn interesting to be able to blow cold air when someone says something really cold, it's really the kind of visual effects that we can only subsitute wif the "diao" look in sgp. Anyway, I had to rush my report till midnight and prepare for my first test, which had a rather high weightage on the overall results. I am the first ever person in our GIP group to have a report and also a test(both due on the same day and time). How did i ever get the impression that studies here would be less stressing than in sgp? How can anyone tell me that i can have lots of spare time on my hands when it's only the second week of sch and i have so much stuff on hand, without my textbooks (which came on the day before i having the test, which i din managed to read thru of coz). Well, as much as i can observed around me, most of them were really busy with their sch stuff as well, only a handful like about 2 or 3 persons were really more slack. *jealous* I thought that after what i went thru last semester, i could improve myself this time, get a new start... but I tink i am juz too undisciplined myself and din have gd time management. I fell asleep at 1.30am and tot i could set the alarm and wake up at 4.30am to study but of coz tt din work out and i found myself awake at 6am (could ve been worse, cant imagine tt) and hadto cramp all the infor into my head and set off for the test.

The test was... Results would depend on how others fare.... Whatever it will be, i was glad that it was over and went to Rite Aid with Qing and bought a pack of bubble gum which tastes nicer than similar ones sold in Malaysia. Lunch was the frozen food we bought and stored in our fridges. It wasnt filling enuff for me, and i went up with my bread, skippy, milk, apple, limes to dine wif Yu liang. It seems more like what I am supp to have for my breakfast but had skipped this morning as i had to cramp 3 topics of infor within 1.5 hours. The milk which i bought had went bad, so i had to throw tt away. My bread was surprisely not the white but the wheat bread, which i had strongly objected to eat when i was in sgp. I juz found that it tastes nicer over here. This is not the only change I have made in my diet, like how i used to dislike eating any type of eggs except the breakfast eggs (those which was 3/4 boiled type)... My dining grp loves practically anything i dislike, so i have to learn to accept changes and i feel perhaps i would be less picky about food after 6 mths with them and most likely i gonna be living on more healthy food under their influence (huh? so much oil?... Dun use salt, chicken stock, wei jing lar... they are so unhealthy...!!!) haha! tt's y they are kinda afraid what would happen if Tiran and me combined powers and make a meal for all of them and Sheila would need more than a gallon of orange juice to cleanse her internal organs. Haha! The apple was bought quite some time ago, and was left to storage in my fridge, which become kinda soft upon biting, thus i gif up on the apple. Did i mentioned that Yu liang peeled that apple for me? haha, he so damn skilled in peeling apple, which retained its shape and close to original size and wasnt as horrible as it would turn out as i did to the potatoes ( coz the peeler thingy didnt work well *Grinzx*) But better den timothy which had his fuji apple become normal apple. *lolx*

Initially I had wanna catch my nap after the second round of lunch but was kind of "reprimanded" by Yu Liang... surprisingly isnt it? for a hokkien beng to "nag" at me to STUDY!!! (he better dun catch what i wrote here... haha) But though he maybe a really loud person (amplifier... ooppsss...), after interacting wif him, I felt that he is really a disciplined person, eg, would be determined to finish his sch work before gg off to Whistler to ski over the weekend. I din managed to commit myself to study that afternoon even after much " encouragement" from him... haha! In fact i was using his lappy to blog in the pantry. I felt a bit guilty about that but my mood was pretty good after feeling released from the horrible test this morning.

Seattle 13 Jan

Ray made pancakes and sauages for breakfast!!! I felt so xing fu coz i had breakfast waiting for me when i wake up...LATE... haha!! QIng and Sheila were even later than me!!! So i am not the only "evil" person ard. ThUmbs uP to Ray for making the effort to make us the breakfast alone, given how mean we had been, to abandon him as we couldnt wake up in time. That was kind of how it dragged on the time, and we ere late to meet Jia Xiang... SO late that when we saw him, I tot i saw "bao gong"... Face really black that i scared he might juz be so angry that he would ignore us. Wouldnt blame him if he did, coz most of us dun possess hp so it was very inconvenient for us to arrange to meet together, esp if the other party were gg to be late and you wouldnt know u shd continue to wait or what. Thank goodness he wasnt angry at all, and we went to Uni Village. It was the first time i went there, and i saw the Ben & Jerry ice-cream, but din get to eat it, coz i hadnt had my proper meal. For the first time, i went into the Victoria Secret's wif sheila, coz i dun understand what is so great about it that the guys were much more interested in than the gals. Haha... But it's nothing much except the normal stuff and the expected pricings. Haha! Went to Quality Food Center ( wonder if i got the name rite, coz we alwaz refer tt to QFC only), and we shopped quite long inside to look at the foodstuff ( a bit uncles and aunties looking at the prices and comparing with the supermarkets near our house... haha!) In the end, we only got the frozen food... =(

Lunch was 70% cooked by me, 30% helped by Sheila, Ray and Jia Xiang. I felt a sense of accomplishment that i managed to cook a decent meal for them... If only i had the time and everyone was able to endure the hunger, i would have wanted to do it all by myself den i can declare to everyone that i passed the cooking test. Haha!

Tmr I will be gg to Vancouver wif my dining grp, plus quite a few more pple, and lots of thanzx to Raymond who offered to tell us where the interesting places would be, and doing a much elaborated pre-departure briefing for us. I still haven packed my stuff, haven done any hw to prepare for next week lessons... Haha... So now it's time to get the impt stuff done... Looking forward to a nice weekend!
